‘When is a spoon not a spoon? When it is a robot!’
GV Art is pleased to present a new kinetic art installation by French artist Serge Jupin. Using found objects and recycled materials Serge creates playful and witty sculptures that are an extraordinary mixture of the familiar and the alien. This new installation will be a showcase for the artists larger scale work, including a1.5 metre robot.

The works that I have already seen of Serge Jupin have delineated him as an artist of quite extraordinary ability; he creates the future by combining the mechanistic past using vaguely recognizable features of dislocated items.
There is a delightful simplicity in the way he does this thus ensuring the Robotic ephemera are satisfying to look at while enabling the onlooker to provide his own interpretation and supply his own layer of complexity.
